    Animation Producer

    Jellyfish Animation are looking for an experienced Animation Producer to join the team at our new south London studio to work on a children’s animated series of 52 X 11 minute episodes.

    You will be working with the production team, directors, clients and animation team. You will be managing budgets and schedules to ensure the project is completed on time and to the highest standard achievable within the budget.

    We are a growing ambitious company with many opportunities coming up and there is a chance of continuing to permanent/FT if appropriate.

    The successful candidate will have/be:
    • Experienced producing a series and be familiar working with an episodic schedule
    • Proficient using Shotgun and Excel
    • Capable of managing the production of 130-150 shots per episode
    • Outstanding communication skills
    • Build and maintain relationships with the clients and the directors, developing an in-depth understanding of their needs
    • Great management skills – to look after a team of animators, lighters, FX artists and compositors
    • Experience of successfully managing a budget and be able to prepare detailed finance documents
    • Familiar with a CGI animation pipeline
    • Be able to manage multiple departments (ie modelling, assets, animation, lighting, compositing, edit etc), teams and resources in accordance with the overall project schedule
    • Ideally have experience of working with a CGi / Live action mix

    Please note that it may be necessary at times for you to work unsociable hours to meet production demands.

    The position is available to start from mid/early February 2017 until September 2018. Start date and ramp up negotiable. Salary negotiable depending on experience.

    Holiday cover Character Animators (minimum 2 – 3 years exp)

    Jellyfish Animation is looking for Character Animators for Holiday Cover to work across two series of animation: Dennis & Gnasher and Bitz & Bob.

    Jellyfish would love to hear from talented Character Animators, with at least 2 -3 years’ experience. You will need to be hard working, well versed in the skills of character animation and have a willingness and enthusiasm to learn and produce great work quickly. You must be experienced in Maya and have an ability to work across a variety of character animation styles. This is a fantastic opportunity to build upon your character animation experience in a fast paced highly creative environment working with two great teams on exciting projects. The posts will be based in South London at both Jellyfish Animation studios (Oval and Brixton).

    We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who can adapt quickly to various animation styles and new rigs.

    Varied contract lengths and varied start dates available.  Please state your availability when applying.

    You may be required to complete an animation test.

    Recruitment Coordinator

    Working closely with the HR Manager to coordinate recruitment needs across all three Jellyfish studios.  You will be responsible for sourcing suitable candidates, advertising available roles, collating CVs and reels, arranging and conducting interviews and managing new starter paperwork.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct phone, Skype and/or in-person interviews
    • Consult with Producers, Production Managers and HoDs to identify staff requirements
    • Prepare new starter paperwork ensuring all successful candidates meet right to work legislation
    • Represent Jellyfish at job fairs and career events
    • Write and post job descriptions on job websites and company pages (e.g HR database and LinkedIn page)

    Essential skills required:

    • Excellent communication skills
    • Excellent organisational skills
    • Good at administration, always willing to learn and able to follow instructions from the producers, production managers and HoDs
    • Have a proactive approach to problem solving
    • Proficient at using Microsoft office – Word, Outlook, and excellent at using Excel
    • Team player
    • To be comfortable communicating with interview candidates and giving feedback in a constructive and positive manner
    • Familiarity with the Animation and VFX Industries

    Desirable skills:

    • Familiarity with LinkedIn Company pages
    • Familiarity with Shotgun
    • Familiarity with WordPress
    • Knowledge of Animation and VFX workflow
